The NX Family had prior knowledge of the events that would unfold on the second Moon Blink, and on the day of the attack activated Rym 9000's telekinesis sending the Saint Voyager ark to outer space with them on-board, thus successfully fleeing the strike.

The JP Family were denied boarding the ark and were left to face the same fate as the other humans. Fortunately, Vagabond JP with the help of the Lawliet Womb's first aircraft defeated Shomyo, and following orders from the family captured Diesel for research purposes.
